The world can be a discouraging place.  The brokenness that we see around us can cause us to withdraw and become cynical.  When tragedy, sickness or death touch us or the ones that we love we can feel utterly hopeless...but the letter that Paul wrote to the church in Colossae encourages us to find our hope in a different source.  The perfect work of Jesus that we call the Gospel is complete and nothing that happens today can change what He has already accomplished for us.  Our hope in the future is fixed and secure.  Our faith in Jesus and our hope in heaven provide a solid platform for us to love in the present, regardless of our present situation and condition.  Paul knew this well...he wrote this powerful, hopeful and encouraging letter from prison.  Join us for this sermon series as we study the book of Colossians and learn the hope, joy and power of setting our eyes on Jesus Christ who is ABOVE!
