There is good news! The Bible shows us that our Creator knows us, loves us, and wants us to know Him. He cares so deeply for us that He sent His son Jesus to live a life of sinless obedience and to die in our place on the cross so that we can spend eternity with Him. But the Bible isn't just trying to show us how to get a ticket to heaven. It is showing us how to live here and now...today...in the midst of a fallen and broken world. Jesus was full of grace and truth. We are called to obediently follow His example. We should be full of grace, mercy, love, empathy, compassion and kindness. We should also be full of truth...devoting our life to living out and proclaiming the heart of God. We would love for you to join us this Sunday as we study the Bible and apply it's timeless truth to our everyday challenges and struggles.
Discipleship
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you (Mt 28:19). Every follower of Jesus is meant to continually grow closer to Him through the process known as discipleship. We learn more and more about the things that Jesus has commanded and we grow in our obedience to them. It may sound complicated but the process is really quite simple. It happens best when two people or a small group of people gathers together to study the Bible and apply what it says to their everyday lives. What is the truth that God is revealing? How does that apply to my life? What do I need to do next? When you begin to live as a disciple of Jesus life begins to make sense. You experience purpose and hope that you won't find anywhere else. We'd love to walk with you on that journey.
