When you think of the word love, what comes to mind? It’s the one word that is so often used today but is it really understood? Do we really know what real love entails? In 1 John 4:10, the disciple John says this “In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” When we look at the cross, what starts to become clear is a definition of love that most of us would only dream to know. In Hebrew, there is a word for love which is life-long, covenantal and based on a faithfulness that endures forever. This word is called hesed. It’s this hesed love that we’ll look at through the story of Ruth. Whether it’s in the events that happen in Ruth or God’s overall plan of redemption, God invites us into the story he’s telling and gives us a clear image of what real love looks like. We “Redefine Love” to take it back to what our Designer and Creator always intended. Let’s join Him in His story this summer beginning this Sunday, July 5th through September 6th, where we’ll be preaching through the book of Ruth.

Join us on Sundays at 9am and 10:30am at Riverside Community Church at 239 Columbia Avenue, Horsham, PA 19044. If you have any questions, feel free to send us an email at riverside@riversideconnect.com or call us at 215-441-0404.
