FINAL - 960x350 Mobile App-2

Between the end of the Old Testament and the coming of Jesus Christ in the New Testament, there is a roughly 400 year period of silence from God. God didn't disappear or leave His people, He simply did not speak to Israel through prophets during this time. The message to the prophet Malachi is the last word from God to Israel before this 400 year silence, but more significantly, it's the last word from God before the Word became flesh. Malachi is essentially a "heart-to-heart" between God and Israel. In a conversational style, God confronts Israel, showing them "tough love" by dialoguing with them about His love for them, how they're complacency and lack of obedience is keeping them from being the people He wants them to be, and how God will fulfill His promises of continuing to restore them. It is a fitting, final plea to Israel before the coming of the Messiah.

We can easily place ourselves into this conversation with God, which is precisely what we'll be doing in this summer series. What does Malachi mean for us today? What does Malachi mean in light of what Jesus has done? How should Malachi impact our faith and obedience to a loving, faithful and steadfast God? Join us as we begin this journey on July 10th, and for 8-weeks explore the riches of Old Testament scripture and what it means for us today.
