Joy is something so deep, profound and desireable that we all spend lots of time and energy seeking it. Yet, it's also elusive...so we settle for cheaper substitutes that are easier to attain...accomplishments, recognition, popularity, busyness, reputation, pleasures of the flesh. The apostle John understood our quest for joy. That is why he wrote the letter that we now call 1 John. He wanted every follower of Jesus to know and experience full and complete joy.
